edited: June 3rd 2007 Portrait of my dad with his crazed six-toed Norwegian Forest cat Zoe. Rescued from the parking lot of a mall by my oldest sister, Zoe was given to my dad when the shelter said they would put her down due to her violent tendencies. Possibly the sweetest cat when she is in the right mood, she is downright homicidal if you catch her in a bad moment. She has been known to bitch-slap a person if they neglect to pet and pay attention to her, or if she happens to hear a song she doesn't like. Zoe is extremely possessive of my father, if she isn't already on his shoulder, breathing down his neck when someone enters his room, she will quickly jump on him and assume her place as if to say "yes? do you have an appointment? because I DO." She is constantly trying to get as close to his face as possible, to smother him? no. I have often instructed her to attack and eat his face, but she refuses. Zoe also drools a lot, much to the dismay of my dad... and his shirts. Dad asked that I take some cat portraits as a present to him. These two shots were my favourite.

Excellent composition. The expression of your dad's face is just heart-melting. Dad and the cat look great together And I love the simplicity of colour in this work - it's minimalistic, yet juicy.

It looks like the cat is weighing him down.
